How to grow red radish microgreens
In Soil or coir peat
Seeding rate: 25 gr for 30x21 cm tray
-Pre-Soak the seeds for 6 – 8 hours and after soaking rinse very well with frsh cool water. Drain well. Is mostly done for a better germination.
OR
just saw the seeds straight away in the tray.
When you only have one set of trays please start with placing the white tray on paper towel instead of in the green tray. And just continue as mentioned below.
When you have more trays please follow the following instructions.
Place your white tray in the green one.. Fill your white tray wit 2-3 cm soil, make it as even as you can and flatten it gently. Evenly spread your seeds over the soil. Try not to group the seeds too much. Give it again a good spray with your spray bottle. We use filtered water.
Place your green tray inside of the white tray for 2-3 days. Add a weight inside of the green tray. We use a flat paver, this to get an even germination and keep to moist in the soil.
Place tray in a well ventilated place. During the germinating phase spray the soil twice daily. Once in the morning and evening. Do not overwater!
When watering during the germinating stage, be careful when lifting the green tray. Seeds can stick under the tray. If that happens gently give these seeds a light spray when spraying the soil and place the tray exactly and gently on the same place. Put your weight back in the green tray and store again.
On day three have look if the seeds are all evenly germinated and that the hulls detached! If so it is time to go to the black out time. Take the green tray out of the white one. Spray the seeds lightly and wipe the underside of the green tray with a cloth. Have a look under the white tray. When little roots are appearing, give them a light spray too and spray the bottom of the green tray. Reverse the green tray and place on top white tray. Now you have created a dome. Place the trays in a dark well ventilated place. Blackout time 1-2 days. Spray twice times daily.
After a day or two in blackout have a look if your crop looks good and healthy. The little plants should be between 2 and 5 cm.
It is time for them to see the light. That means from now on we water the greens from the bottom. Add half a cup to one cup of water twice a day.
Do not place the greens into full sun but find a light spot where they can grow.
Harvest: 6 -12 days. Harvest 1 -2 cm above the soil.

How to grow pea microgreens
Use soil or coir peat
Seeding rate between 100 and 110gr for 30x21 cm tray
Pre soak: 6-8 hours
Instructions:
Pre-rinsing your pea seeds:
Rinse your seeds thoroughly with clean water.
Soaking your seeds:
Soak for 6-8 hours in plenty of water as they will double in size during soaking stage. We use a glass jar for that.
Once the initial soak is complete, drain the water. Fill and rinse with clean water once more and give it a good draining.
Pre sprouting of your seeds
Put your jar with the seeds in a dark ventilated place and rinse/drain twice a day with clean water. Between 24 - 48hrs little radicals(roots) start emerging from the seeds.
Planting the seeds
Fill your white tray wit 2-3 cm soil, make it as even as you can. Evenly spread your seeds over the soil. Press your seeds into the soil. Give your seeds and potting mix a very good spray with your spray bottle. We use filtered water.
Cover your tray. If you have an extra green tray use this one to put on top of the white tray. Place in a well ventilated dark place at room temperature.
Check twice a day if the soil is still moist. Give it a spray when needed.
3 or 4 days later the shoots should have been rooted and the growing proces is starting. The shoots start pushing the tray upwards. Then it is time to remove the cover and let them see the light!
That means from now on we water the greens from the bottom. Add some water in the tray(start with half a cup). just be sure that the roots are touching the water. Do not overwater your microgreens
Harvest time: Approximately 10-14 days
How to grow Amaranth microgreens
Use soil or coir peat
Seeding rate 10 gr for 30x21 cm tray
No pre saoking
Grow your amaranth in warm temperatures not below 22C or above 24C
When using one set of trays please start with placing the white tray on paper towel instead of in the green tray. And just continue as mentioned below.
When you have more trays please follow the following instructions.
Place your white tray into the green one.. Fill your white tray wit 2-3 cm soil, make it as even as you can and flatten it gently. Evenly distribute your seeds over your growing medium either by hand (ensuring they’re clean) or with a seed shaker. Avoid clumpingas this will lead to poor airflow, with a higher potential for disease
After seeding mist the tray with water
Take a green tray and place it inside of the white tray on top of the seeds. Add a weight into the green tray. We use a paver for that.
Place your tray in a well ventilated place.
Spray twice a day. If any seeds are stuck to the bottom of the top tray in the first few days, ensure you wipe them off, as they can cause problems if they germinate at a different time to the rest growing on the medium
Use a mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water(2tbspHP/1L water) in your spray bottle because amaranth is highly susceptible to damping off and other pathogens. Repeat this step for 6 days.
Once roots start appearing through the bottom of the middle tray, begin misting the bottom tray with water so the roots can absorb this and not dry out.
When the nice red color appears flip your green tray and use it now as a dome. Let it sit for 2 more days in total darkness now. Don't forget to spray the plants, the roots and the bottom of the green tray.
On day 6, your amaranth should have grown to the right height to end the blackout period
This means removing the top lid and placing it under light conditions
Add half a cup of water to the bottom tray (add up to a cup if you believe it is necessary when roots are dried out)
If you think you’ve added too much water (this will be evident if there is left over water in your bottom tray), don’t add any more water until this has been absorbed by the crop, as this could lead to over-watering
Let them see the light
Place your tray in light conditions. Check twice a day for water, if so, add another half cup to the bottom trayof the green tray. If the roots appear to be brown/yellow or discoloured, spray the roots with your hydrogen peroxide mixture Some growers also suggest adding a nutrient solution every few days, throughout the duration of your microgreen growing. Continue these steps for around 14 days
When the plants are tall enough, +/- 5-7cm it is time to harvest!
How to grow rocket microgreens
In Soil or coir peat or hydroponically
Seeding rate 15 gr for 30x21 cm tray
No soaking
Instructions:
When you only have one set of trays please start with placing the white tray on paper towel instead of in the green tray nd just proceed as mentioned below.
When you have more trays please follow the following instructions.
Place your white tray in the green one. Fill your white tray wit 2-3 cm soil, make it as even as you can and flatten it gently. Evenly spread your seeds over the soil. Try not to group the seeds too much. Give it again a good spray with your spray bottle. We use filtered water.
Place a green tray in the white on top of the seeds/soil. Add a weight in the green tray. This is to trap the soil and get even germination.
Put the tray in a ventilated area.
Next day. Lift the paver or other weight out of the green tray. Gently remove the green tray. The reason herefore is that these seeds are Mucilagious (seeds whose seeds forms a gel sack around itself when in contact with water) and can stick under the green tray. Turn the green tray diagonally and tap the tray on the edges of the white tray. The majority of the seeds will fall off. Don't worry about the seeds that are still stuck on the tray. Turn the green tray upside down on the table (with seeds facing the ceiling). Spray the seeds again , give the seeds that are stuck under the green tray also a light spray. Than place the green tray exactly back in the white tray. Do this twice a day. In the morning and evening. Put the weight back in the tray and place in wel ventilated area. Repeat this two or three days until you see even germination. When you start seeing little roots under your white tray, give them also a spray and give the green stray also a spray. This is for avoiding the roots to dry out!
In general after day 3, when you see an even germination and the little plants are starting to push the green tray upwards, you remove green top tray, spray water in the bottom green tray and on top.
Now to make the plant stronger and grow taller, we need to put the tray in a dark verntilated room(Black out period). Now we have to, after we have wiped the green top tray, reverse this tray and put on top of the white tray. Now we have created a dome. No weight on this tray!
Check twice daily for water. We do this for about 3 to 4 day. When the little plants have a height between 7 and 10cm tall it is time to show them the light!
